If you have a different IP stack, without icmp.dll, traceroute and ping will fail, but everything else should work
To use the HTML Help you'll need Internet Explorer 4, with hhctrl.ocx installed (see the readme for full details). If you don't have IE4 you can still use the WinHelp format help
Sam Spade lets you launch a web-browser to view URLs returned from some of the tools or from within WinHelp. The requirements for this to work are a bit vague. I think it requires any version of Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator 4 to have been installed at some point. I've yet to find a machine where it fails though, so it's not a common problem
